After my face is washed and clean, I start with a oil control moisturizer like Cetaphil. It is what my dermatologist recommended for my oily skin, plus it has a sunscreen in it which is good.
Next I apply my foundation with a wedged makeup sponge. I am currently using Revlon ColorStay liquid foundation. I kind of LOVE it. Since I have super sensitive skin, I like that I can cut down on bacteria by using a new sponge everyday (I buy a BIG bag at WalMart for cheap!).
Here are a few reasons I love Revlon ColorStay foundation...
- It comes in a lot of different colors. Why is this good? Throughout the year your skin color changes, so its nice to have an inexpensive foundation that you can buy as your color changes. Also, if you are a makeup artist, you have many different colors or shades to choose from for your clients.
- It lasts all day. Whether you are sweating, sitting, shopping this foundation will stay on all day and look flawless. This is also good to use on brides, it looks fabulous in pictures and still looks great while they get their dance on at the reception.
- It comes in two different formulas. Some people have dry skin, some have oily. I have very oily skin, but when I wear formula for oily skin topped with a mattifying powder it stays oil free all day. This is also good for clients. If your client has oily skin chances are you won't be there to powder their face throughout the entire day, but with this foundation I have not had to reapply powder.
That's it! This is just for an everyday look, so I don't use any primers. On my clients I always use a primer for an even flawless finish.
**I was not paid to promote any of these brands. These are all my own opinions**
XoXo,
Lyss!
