Blue eyeshadow can be done very well, or very bad...
I feel like the 90's left a bad taste in our mouth for blue eyeshadow. Truth is, it can be done without looking tacky. I love the look above on Diane Kruger. It's simple, but still adds that pop of color to bring out her eyes. It looks great with the baby pink lips too.
I love blue on dark skin tones as well. I love that it is paired with a nude lip, so that the eyeshadow really stands out. For me, this wouldn't be an everyday look, but for going out at night, its hot! For this look I would recommend using a creamy shadow stick like Bobbi Brown's Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Iced Blue.
Frieda Pinto is one of the most beautiful people to me. She went with a dark shimmery blue smokey look. It looks awesome! Another look that is simple, yet fun and flirty with the blue. Blue is a color that looks good on anybody I think, and I love it with her skin and eyes. For this I would use some of the nude colors from Urban Decay's Naked Palette, and then for the blue shimmer I would use the Nars Duo Eyeshadow. (I would use the deep blue color on the right, not the purple)
Ginnifer Goodwin looks great here, she matched her shadow with her jewelry. I don't know if I could ever pull this look off. I definitely wouldn't wear this as an everyday look. It would have to be an event, party, etc. To achieve this look I would probably use Sephora's Colorful Eyeshadow in Green Tea Time.
I hope this has insperd you to give blue eyeshadow another try. Just remember to keep it simple. One thing all of these pictures had in common was either a nude, or very light pink lip. Here are some of my ideas for a lip color to go along with your blue eyes...
